I am a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner, creator, and nationally renowned speaker recognized as an authentic voice and leader in healthcare and digital media. I earned my BSN from City University of New York Hunter College, and my MSN as a Nurse Practitioner from Columbia University in the City of New York. Over my 20+ year nursing career, I've had the privilege of precepting hundreds of new graduate nurses and nurse practitioners, speaking at 80+ motivational and academic conferences and events, and pioneering the role of nursing presence on social media. I serve on the Healthcare Advisory Board and Healthcare Advocacy Team at FIGS, and my advocacy and digital media work has been featured in distinguished publications, including The Washington Post and Forbes. Known for my transparency and relatability in an era of curated personas and timelines, I bring honesty to the complexities of nursing and life. With strategic brand collaborations with over 500+ brands across healthcare, professional, and lifestyle campaigns, I am a trusted public figure and creator. My Story
I was born in St. Louis, Missouri, into a family rooted in healthcare and education—a legacy that instilled in me a deep sense of purpose. In my early 20s, I took a leap, moving to New York City as a travel nurse, where I quickly fell in love with the boundless energy and spirit of this city. Almost immediately, I knew I wanted to make an impact beyond my nursing career, but this was back in the MySpace days, long before social media became the powerful platform it is today.
My journey took a pivotal turn when I was working in the ER and was invited to be part of a primetime medical documentary series on ABC. Being on that show opened my eyes to the possibilities of storytelling and the reach it could have. I started my social media pages during filming to share the reality of life as a nurse in the greatest city on earth. What began as a simple desire to give others a glimpse into the world of nursing quickly grew into something transformative.
I discovered that social media was a powerful space—one where I could connect, educate, lead, and inspire. Over the years, I learned how to use my platform to advocate for my profession and to give nurses a voice in an ever-expanding digital world. Today, I channel my energy into mentoring, speaking, and creating meaningful content aiming to uplift and guide my community in both their personal and professional lives.
